For the exchange of 2 sets of key sequences, the total number can be increased by the addition of further modules, primary or secondary.

In the standard state, primary keys are not inserted. Secondary key are trapped. When all primary keys are inserted and turned, secondary keys become free. As soon as a secondary key is released from the module, all primary key are trapped until all secondary keys return to the module. This key exchange module is not sequential.
